Questions ↘
Questions donors ask.
Is SET University a non-profit?
Yes. SET University is a non-profit university, licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and accredited by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. All income goes back into scholarships and programs. University documents are in Public information.
How do you select scholarship holders?
On talent, motivation and leadership potential, not on the ability to pay. Service members and veterans can study fully free, and a donor can fund full tuition in any group: service members and veterans, military families, women in tech or talented students.
Can I fund a specific program or group?
Yes. A named scholarship can go to a chosen master's program. RIA.com, for example, funds a service member in AI & Cyber Defense or AI & Strategic Leadership, and Rilian funds a significant share of the current intake in cybersecurity.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
If you live in the US and give by card through PayPal, yes. Liberty Ukraine Foundation, a US 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 88-1688760), processes these donations, and you get a receipt for your tax records. Bank transfers go straight to SET University in Ukraine and are not tax-deductible in the US.
Can my company give technology or equipment instead of money?
Yes. Cloud credits, licenses and lab equipment go straight into our AI, cybersecurity and autonomous systems programs. Write to us with what you can offer.
How will I know what my support achieved?
Yuliia Buryk, our Director of Strategic Development and Partnerships, keeps in touch with donors and partners. She will tell you which scholarships your gift funded and how the scholars are doing. Write to her any time at y.buryk@setuniversity.edu.ua.
