Program Overview
An intensive mentorship-driven program that provides HealthTech startups with direct access to experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders. It fosters unique networking and investment opportunities through personalized matchmaking with investors. This is a real opportunity to accelerate your startup’s growth and become part of the global HealthTech community.
8 weeks of active sessions + 2 weeks of refining pitches and collaborations. 15 selected teams will gain not only knowledge and skills but also tangible deliverables showcasing their progress. The program includes personalized mentorship, AMA sessions, and startup crash tests. During the final Demo Day, top-performing startups will pitch their projects, increasing their chances of securing investments and partnerships.
The program is co-funded within the project “Knowledge Rise: Advancing Sustainable Blue-Green Economies via Deep Tech – Innovation Capacity Building in Higher Education”, which is part of the broader CloudEARTHi initiative and is funded by the European Union through the EIT HEI Initiative, coordinated by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), Cohort 4.

Application requirements

A startup/technology project at the MVP stage

At least two project representatives should be ready for an intensive engagement for 2 weeks

English level from Upper-Intermediate

Intention to develop your startup after the course: work on attracting investment, creating new jobs, and monetisation

Willingness to be part of the SET Community

Only startups that have signed an agreement to participate are eligible to participate

Fergus O`Dea
Vice President of Commercial Operations at FIRE1, one of the fastest growing Medtech companies in the world (over <$200M in capital raised to date).
Prior to FIRE1, Fergus was Venture Investment Leader at NDRC, investing in early-stage technology companies and managing accelerator programmes, and was previously Global Product Manager at ResMed PLC.
Fergus holds a Masters In Biopharmaceutical Engineering from University College Dublin and a Masters in Business Administration from the Micheal Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

With over 30 years of industry experience, he advises clients on quality system development, regulatory compliance, inspections, M&A due diligence, and litigation support. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Eric led global quality and compliance functions at major medical device companies.


Alexa Sinyachova
Co-Founder at Moeco, startup growth advisor and Techstars mentor, teaching Entrepreneurship Course at SET University. For the last 15 years, she has been helping start-ups find go-to-market and drive growth. Her experience is focused on seed to series A stage. As a founder herself, she has created a step-by-step guidance on “building pitch deck, that fundraises”.
She was a business strategy advisor for several startups in fintech, blockchain, AI, and IoT. Former Head of Business Development at Diginex Limited, Alexa helped the company find US partners and enterprise customers, search for good tech projects, and take care of the portfolio startups. Alexa is an active member of European and US startup communities and a “super-connector” in the tech industry of Silicon Valley.

FAQ
Do you invest in my project?
No, SET University does not invest in businesses. However, within the Mentorship program, we involve partners through whom the best projects can attract investment.
Does filling out the application guarantee getting to the Mentorship program?
No, it does not. We will select a limited number of teams, projects, and startups from all applications to join the program and sign an agreement to participate.
I only have an idea for a HealthTech project, can I participate in the Mentorship program?
No, we consider participants with projects at least at the MVP stage.
How will the program take place?
The hybrid format includes both offline and online sessions, as well as team collaboration. Some program activities will be conducted online, while offline events are also planned, where team representatives are required to be present.
