The first Ukrainian CTF Championship 2025 and a chance to join the national team!
On September 6–7, Kyiv will turn into a cyber arena: the final of the Ukrainian Championship in technological sport in the CTF – Cybersecurity 2025 discipline will take place, the main event of the year for Ukraine’s cyber community.
200 of the strongest participants from across the country will compete at the cyber range – Ukraine’s Unit Range – to demonstrate skills in ethical hacking, information system defense, and digital protection tactics. The competition formats – Jeopardy and Attack/Defense – recreate real scenarios of cyber warfare, where players must “capture the flag” – a unique code symbolizing victory.
A unique chance for new teams
Regional championships have already taken place in Vinnytsia, Rivne, and Mykolaiv regions, and their winners will represent their regions in the final. In addition, the top 10 teams from the special open championship CYBER UNIT UNITED will also compete for victory in the final.
Teams from other regions still have a chance to join: registration for the Ukrainian Championship is now open.
Pre-registration is available until August 27 (inclusive). To apply, fill out the form at: https://forms.gle/fQPAYby5GAHSH8yU8
Please note: registration does not guarantee automatic participation. Only one team may be formed from each region, as well as from Kyiv, Sevastopol, and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The final selection will be made from submitted applications by the local branch of the Federation of Technological Sport of Ukraine or the respective regional state administration.
Why take part?
The CTF 2025 Final is a nationwide event showing that Ukraine is building a strong cyber community and preparing a new generation of professionals ready for global digital challenges. The competition carries special importance because:
-
winners will form the core of the Ukrainian National Cybersecurity Team, which will represent the country this autumn at the prestigious European Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 in Poland;
-
finalists will receive grants for Master’s studies in cybersecurity at SET University, opening the next stage in their professional careers.
Thus, the Championship is not only about victory but also about the opportunity to enter the European arena and gain support for further education.
A national-scale event
The Championship is organized by the Federation of Technological Sport of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Gunsmiths Union.
The competition is supported by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and the EU4DigitalUA project, funded by the European Union and implemented by FIAP.
Partners of the Championship include Cyber Unit Technologies, SET University, and the Institute for Cyberwarfare Research.
The event involves key state institutions in the field of security and defense – the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cyber Police, and regional administrations – as well as international and technology partners: the Tallinn Mechanism Project Office, CRDF Global, Cisco, and Sheriff.
