F3. Computer Science: Innovation Engineering

I’m self-taught in IT, so I wanted a formal technical degree — that’s how I found SET University. This is a completely different level of education. Even from the program description, I knew it would be good, but I didn’t expect this good.

It’s exactly the learning format I needed: up-to-date knowledge, a strong practical focus, and zero box-ticking. Sometimes it’s challenging to keep up, but what matters is that it’s absolutely doable.

What really inspires me is the full support — you can come with any issue and know you’ll be heard and helped. The people you study with are incredible, too. If only all universities were like SET. Enrolling here was the best decision I’ve made.

Wait, education can actually work like this? Professors are genuinely invested in our success, the university always meets you halfway, and everyone does their best to create a comfortable learning environment and maximize your results.

Everything we study is truly engaging, even though high-tech disciplines aren’t easy. These aren’t classes you attend just to attend — you go because you want to, knowing you’ll gain something new and useful.

The entire faculty, coordinators, and university team are deeply inspiring. With this level of support and motivation, you really want to keep moving forward.

When I applied, I was skeptical — it’s a new university and there weren’t many reviews yet. But the learning experience exceeded my expectations. Even setting aside the convenient schedule and smooth communication, the quality of knowledge itself is outstanding.

I already had a strong technical background, yet still discovered new insights. The entrepreneurship courses, however, opened up an entirely new way of thinking about products, preparation, and analysis. These are modern, high-quality insights from experienced professionals — exactly why you should come here.

And the offline workshops? An art form of their own — you absorb material on the fly, with genuine interest and engagement.

The university offers a convenient format and schedule for studying, which can be combined with a full-time job. However, it can sometimes be challenging, especially if you want to submit everything on time and read additional materials. Personally, my studies take about 20-30 hours per week.

It’s great that you can choose disciplines within the course, allowing you to pick what aligns with your interests. However, you will still study not only technical subjects but also management, which is given a lot of attention. I advise future master’s students to apply if they already have an idea for their thesis project and a desire to start their own startup. Otherwise, you’ll need to think quickly after enrolling.

The university team does a lot to improve the learning process and support us as students. There’s also the SET University Community, which is not limited to just students. Here, you can form a team for CTF, listen to lectures from guest speakers, and address your queries.
