Program Overview
Multidisciplinarity is already an industry standard, startups are becoming more complex, and the tasks set for technical specialists are becoming more complex. That’s why we have developed this master’s program specifically for those engineers who want to influence the development of companies with their own solutions or want to create their own tech product using machine learning, blockchain, IoT, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence technologies.
During the course, you will analyze key technology trends and solutions related to machine learning and AI, blockchain, augmented reality, and more. You will also build an architecture of technological solutions by analyzing product, solution, technical, and business components in stages. And all this with examples and practice.
As part of the diploma, you will be able to create your own startup in the university’s accelerator or develop a useful IT solution for real companies.

Gauthier Vasseur
Data analytics, AI, and digital transformation expert. Executive Director at Berkeley Fisher Center; CEO and Founder – Data Wise Academy; Founder and Co-President – Alliance for Inclusive AI.
His leadership experience includes both large tech-enterprises (Google, Oracle, Hyperion) and startups, Series A, and Pre-IPO companies (Semarchy, Trufa, TriNet).
Nowadays, Gauthier teaches at Berkeley and Stanford and is also adjunct lecturer at SET University, Kyiv.

Nick Gicinto
Former CIA officer, ex-cybersecurity executive at Tesla and Uber, founder of SET Cyber Labs, and professor at SET University & William Jewell College
Nick spent 10 years at the CIA, where he served as an operations officer and was responsible for recruiting and training personnel. After transitioning to the private sector, he applied intelligence-agency leadership approaches in high-pressure environments like Uber and Tesla.
What helped him succeed? Soft skills — honest communication, vulnerability, and adaptability — became his go-to tools. Nick knows what it means to lead when there’s no playbook.
He now teaches at William Jewell College and SET University, preparing future leaders to thrive under pressure. In 2024, he co-founded SET Cyber Labs — a Ukraine-based cybersecurity startup built in partnership with Hilltop Technologies (USA).

Alex Rozhniatovskyi
The university offers a convenient format and schedule for studying, which can be combined with a full-time job. However, it can sometimes be challenging, especially if you want to submit everything on time and read additional materials. Personally, my studies take about 20-30 hours per week.
It’s great that you can choose disciplines within the course, allowing you to pick what aligns with your interests. However, you will still study not only technical subjects but also management, which is given a lot of attention. I advise future master’s students to apply if they already have an idea for their thesis project and a desire to start their own startup. Otherwise, you’ll need to think quickly after enrolling.
The university team does a lot to improve the learning process and support us as students. There’s also the SET University Community, which is not limited to just students. Here, you can form a team for CTF, listen to lectures from guest speakers, and address your queries.

Studying is convenient: the professors are accommodating, and the schedule for submitting assignments is flexible. There are morning lectures and evening ones. I definitely prefer the morning classes.
My favorite courses are Technical Project Management and Entrepreneurship. I see great ideas among my classmates, so we expect a technological boom in 1.5 years after graduating from the program.

Many new acquaintances and impressions from studying for a master’s degree! I expect that with the knowledge gained, we will be able to implement projects that will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who need assistance not only in the form of donations but also through new approaches and developments. Studying is convenient. There is an LMS with all lecture recordings and useful additional materials. Another big plus is that the program does not have a bunch of unnecessary subjects that you are forced to attend. There are many elective courses, allowing you to tailor the program to your needs. My favorite, by the way, is Web Security.

I like the class schedule: it is quite convenient compared to traditional universities. Besides studying for a master’s degree, we also work full-time, and it’s great that this is taken into account. I also appreciate that most of the professors have a lot of practical experience. The startup track looks interesting. Moreover, the attitude of the university team is excellent. Admission Requirements for 2025
If you are applying after completing a bachelor’s degree, you must take the ЄВІ (Unified Entrance Exam) and the ЄФВВ in IT (Specialized Entrance Exam). If you already hold a master’s/specialist diploma or have UBD (combatant) status, you can choose either to take the ЄВІ and ЄФВВ or to apply through internal exams at SET University.
To take the ЄВІ and ЄФВВ entrance exams, you need to register through the university’s admissions office (free of charge). Simply fill out the form, and we will assist you with the next steps.
