Join the DIGARD V4U Final Summit in Budapest: ADR in the Digital Era

25 / 2 / 26

On 9–10 March 2026, Budapest will host the final conference of the project “Digital Innovations for Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Visegrad Four Countries and Ukraine” (DIGARD V4U), implemented with the support of the International Visegrad Fund. The event is hosted by Corvinus University of Budapest.

The summit “ADR in the Digital Era: Tools, Trust and Transformation” marks the culmination of collaborative work between partners from the Visegrad Four countries and Ukraine. Taking place in a hybrid format, it will bring together ADR professionals, researchers, trainers and digital innovators to explore how digital tools are transforming alternative dispute resolution — making it more collaborative, efficient, safe and future-ready.

What the Summit Will Cover

Over two days, participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the results and products of the DIGARD V4U project — including research findings on the use of digital tools in ADR across V4 countries and Ukraine, the “Digital Tools in ADR” online course, and an open-access database with a practical online toolkit. The programme also features presentations on the ADR experience of Poland and Slovakia, as well as a Ukrainian business perspective on expectations from alternative dispute resolution.

The highlight of the first day will be a roundtable discussion on the future of artificial intelligence in arbitration and mediation: could AI agents become competent — or even rival — players in the ADR field within five years, and what can we do now to prepare for this challenge?

The second day is dedicated to a mini-conference with invited speakers covering topics such as digital tools in mediation, the role of online communities, AI and creativity, generative AI in workplace communication, and the potential of AR/VR for developing communication competences. The programme concludes with a facilitated networking session for the ideation of future projects.
