SET University — Partner in a European AI Cybersecurity Consortium
24 / 12 / 25
Joining forces across Europe for a secure digital future! SET University is proud to announce its participation in the new two-year international project “AI-Driven Cybersecurity: Opportunities and Challenges,” launched in September 2025 and now entering its active phase, where we are ready to share our first results.
The project is implemented in cooperation with five universities from Sweden, Ukraine, and Poland, and is funded by the Swedish Institute under the SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme. The project aims to explore the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. Within this ambitious consortium, SET University acts not only as a center of expertise in digital security but also as a leader in communication, dissemination of results, and engagement of innovative partners.
The project responds to the growing demand for professionals capable of working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, as well as to the shortage of relevant interdisciplinary courses in traditional academic programs. In response, the partners are jointly developing modern educational modules covering key areas such as AI models for information protection, tools for detecting and preventing cyberattacks, and intelligent technologies for digital forensics.
We firmly believe that this initiative represents not only a step toward strengthening educational standards and digital resilience in Ukrainian universities, but also a meaningful contribution to building a secure digital future for Europe. Participation in international projects of this level opens new horizons for students, faculty, and researchers, promotes academic mobility, and reinforces SET University’s position as a driver of innovation in deeptech and cybersecurity.
“AI-Driven Cybersecurity” is strategically important for SET University and fully aligned with the goals of its Internationalization Strategy 2030, particularly in advancing international academic cooperation, fostering a multicultural environment, developing innovative educational offerings, and strengthening the university’s global positioning as a trusted partner in high-tech fields.
