AI Code Archaeology: How to give an agent a map, memory, and checks

About the webinar

What we will cover

Why documentation lags behind code and how it affects the work of an AI coding agent
What components make up a context harness: rules, map, context, evidence gate, and memory
How to create a task-specific code map for a particular change
How to distinguish a verified fact from an agent's assumption
What should be stored in project memory and what will quickly become outdated
How to define the minimal change zone and narrow the blast radius
How to build a controlled agentic loop and set stop conditions

Speaker

Oleksii Popov

Engineering Leader & Solution Architect with 16+ years of experience in scalable systems and AI-augmented productivity. Experienced in building technical products, leading cross-functional teams at scale, and translating business goals into scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions while implementing innovative technologies.

Who will benefit from the webinar

Software engineers working with legacy or brownfield codebases
Tech leads and solution architects implementing AI-assisted development in teams
Engineers who use AI coding agents and want to reduce the number of erroneous assumptions
Engineering managers for whom manageability and verifiability of changes are important

Key insights you will gain

  • How to prepare context before the agent starts changing code
  • How to build a map only for the necessary part of the system
  • How not to mix verified facts with assumptions
  • How to store useful project memory without accumulating outdated context
  • How to limit the change zone and stop the agent in time
